As we ease our way back into blogging, we thought we'd start with a dreamy video of a giant tetrahedral kite called Three Cubes Colliding.
The design was develped by Sash Reading, and Heather and Ivan Morrison. Queen and Crawford manufactured the kite, which consists of 1700 connectors, carbon fiber rods, and cubenfiber aerospace fabric. The object is geometry in motion. It looks solid, and though it doesn't float as readily as some kites, it gets off the ground and remains suspended in the air in a way that is surprising for its size.
The video is here: Three Cubes Colliding
